This piece is my first experience with lithography printing. It features three colors and has a limited edition of 20, which I produced during my residency at URDLA. The map of Iran resembles a Feliformia, and in the Persian language, Iran is referred to as “Iran Khanum (Madam)” and “Mam-e-Watan.”  I drew inspiration from the image of a wounded lioness found in Mesopotamian reliefs. The suffering of this lioness tears my heart apart.
