Never the Same Water- 2025

9X1.2 Meter video installation

AI-generated, generative, interactive video installation with synthesized sound, projection on the Acrylic board hanging from the ceiling.

“No one ever steps in the same river twice, for it is not the same river, nor is it the same person.”  Heraclitus

“Never the Same Water” is a video installation hanging from the ceiling. It features a swimmer moving endlessly through water with an audiovisual generative system. As people walk beneath it, sensors react to their movement, gently altering the waves around the swimmer. The water shifts with each passerby, transforming the video into a dialogue between body, motion, and space. This piece is on display in Lisbon, a city where the river meets the sea,a place of change, flow, and connection. Drawing inspiration from Heraclitus’s notion that nothing stays the same, the installation reminds us that each of our steps leaves a trace, even in something as vast and fluid as the ocean.
